Physiotherapy Services.
Motor Assessment.
For babies and young children with concerns regarding early motor skill and development.
This can include high-risk infants that may have had a difficult start in life, such as those babies who have spent time in a NICU/special care nursery or babies with a suspected or diagnosed condition known to impact the development of motor skills. It also includes assessment for children who may not be meeting motor milestones (eg., delayed sitting or walking) or have delayed motor skills.
I also see children with concerns such as frequent falls, poor balance and coordination issues and those with challenges in more complex skills such as running, jumping, hopping, climbing and ball/sport skills.
I use a variety of standardised assessments, such as the General Movement Assessment (video assessment), Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE), Hand Assessment for Infants, Alberta Infant Motor Scales, Neurosensory Motor Developmental Assessment to provide expert analysis and interpretation of your child’s current gross motor function.
NDIS Therapy Services.
I provide therapy services for children on NDIS funded supports. This includes home and community visits to meet the goals of your child.
I provide equipment prescription, fitting and support for children who may require assistive technology to optimise their performance and independence.
I can also offer aquatic therapy blocks at your local pool.
Orthopaedic Assessment.
For babies and children with orthopaedic concerns and/or diagnoses.

Head turn preference or flat head (plagiocepahly)

Foot conditions(talipes, metatarsus adductus, curly toes, flat feet)
Lower limb postural variations (knock knees, bow legs, in toeing, toe walking)
Other postural and body alignment concerns
I also able to provide orthopaedic assessment and management for children over the age of 5 for:
Assessment and management of acute sporting injury, musculoskeletal concerns and therapy and rehabilitation post orthopaedic surgery
Treatment.
Land-based therapy for babies and young children.
For babies and children with ongoing goals and therapy needs, we are able to provide regular therapy support and intervention. Treatment location will be specific to the goal and may be at home, in the clinic space or out in the community.
Water-based therapy for babies and young children.
Immersion in water can play a huge role in supporting movement skills, motor development, strength, balance and body awareness while supporting play and learning in a fun and novel environment.
Aquatic therapy can be provided as once-off learning and support sessions with families or as a part of a therapy block.
