Simone Maher
Director & Senior Physiotherapist
Hello, I’m Simone! I’m a physiotherapist with over 15 years’ experience working with babies, children, and families. While I’ve supported children across many areas of paediatrics, my greatest passion is helping infants and young children under the age of five develop the strong foundations they need for movement and wellbeing.
I’ve worked in leading hospital settings, including the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital, and I am currently the senior physiotherapist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Mercy Hospital for Women. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how to best support children with a wide range of needs.
I love offering therapy in the places where children feel most comfortable—whether at home, in childcare, kinder, school, playgrounds, or at my clinic. Working in natural environments makes learning and development meaningful, enjoyable, and effective.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my partner and our three energetic boys, scuba diving, gardening or enjoying some quiet time with a good book.

I came to see Simone with my 18 month old who I was told by another Physio had a gross motor delay After careful evaluation and what seemed like playtime Simone has given me tips and exercises that helped him not only achieve his milestones but flourish well above what was expected of him at that age. I found Simone very thorough and professional. She explained everything very clearly and gave me an opportunity to ask as many questions as I had. Most importantly my little boy loved playing with her and felt immediately at ease. I have no issues with recommending her to anyone.

I really appreciated how thorough doctor Simone was. She asked a lot of questions, played with my child and tried to see how she moves from different angles. She assessed her hips and knees, compared the hip rotation on both sides, examined her motor skills etc. We left with a plan and list of exercises to do at home. I am very happy with the service provided.
